Half way point through summer, I think! Reed's done an amazing job with the gardening this year. Lots of perennials going, and some killer tomatoes are on the way. We have a small herb garden of rosemary, basil and lemon balm. The girls started a few flowers from seed this spring. They also started the basil and lemon balm were from seed too!
VBS was in June. Sonja and Selena were kept busy as helpers and Isabel & Miranda participated in class. Very well done program - well run and the kids had a great time. Both of our pastors participated as well.
Isabel and Miranda had their swimming lessons in June and both passed! The weather wasn't too great, but the last two days were hot. We hope to do more swimming.
The girls had a great feis in June, here in St Paul. Sonja and Selena each placed first in their groups! Isabel got her first 1st place trophy in prizewinner level in one of her hard shoe dances. Miranda unfortunately had to sit that feis out. She has come down with plantar fasciitis! We've spent a lot of time in the car going to dr appointments. It's getting better, but slowly! She's got the ok now to get back to some practicing.
We have not done any assisted living performances with Miranda's bum foot. The last show we did was to a packed crowd in Mabel at Greenlea Manor, at the end of May. We have one coming up in August so we're looking in to programing some new things.
We had a nice Independence Day at Reed's uncle Reed's on Bald Eagle Lake. The girls got to do some paddle boating.
Looking forward to more summer fun!
