sewing camp

We spent 4 mornings at our friend Susie's a couple weeks ago learning how to sew! All the girls are proficient at threading the machine. They learned to rip to get a straight edge, cut, measure, baste and sew strips together. Susie helped me cut out a shorts pattern and sew it together. They turned out good! We're going to make some kind of a quilt out of the sewn-together strips. It was a great time and we learned a lot! thanks Susie. And thanks Mom for finding the Elna for us!!
