Life with an 8 week old kitten is quite exciting. Seamus is so playful and cute. It's kind of like having a toddler around the house. He hasn't been getting into too much trouble yet (i.e. tearing anything up). He's pretty frisky when we want to go to bed. He gallops up and down the hall. He loves jumping all over the bed, pouncing and biting at our feet and fingers. We've been having him sleep in the upstairs bathroom, in his cozy little bed. We tried letting him sleep with us one night, but the 3am playtime was too much for me! Plus he's so little it's hard to tell where he is when he's sleeping. So he's doing fine in the bathroom for now. The girls are having a great time playing with him. He's very friendly and likes to be near us. I can tell he's grown already in the 5 days we've had him.
He had his first vaccination at the vet on Monday. She said he looked great. We have discovered that he's a polydactyl - meaning that he has and extra toe on each of his front feet. It's kind of like a thumb. It makes him a really good climber! Thankfully he's doing his climbing practice on the cat tower that he's pictured on here. Needless to say, he's getting lots of love from all of us.
